Our New Year’s Eve dessert
Easy and very satisfying, if you want to indulge yourself, top it up with some nice ice cream!
Ingredients (metric)
- 6 apples
- 1-2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- lime peel
- 3/4 cups gluten-free flour
- 3/4 cups oats
- 1/4 cup sugar
- butter (1/4-1/2 cup?)
Method
Peel apples and cut them into small cubes.
In a saucepan, add some water, the diced apples and cinnamon sticks.
Let it simmer on medium heat and swich to low heat after a while
Once they are nice and soft, almost smooth in texture, remove from heat
You can either mix them to make a homogeneous compote or just mash them with a fork.
Preheat the oven at 180°C fan
In individual ramekins, pour some of the compote.
Add lime peel
Make the crumble: mix cold butter, sugar, oats, flour and ground cinnamon until you get crumbles
Add the crumble to the ramekins
Cook for about 40 min
